Frequently Asked Questions
- "How old are your carriage horses?"
- Our horses are 5 - 14 years of age. Most horses live well into their 30's or longer.
- "I've read and heard so much about how carriage horses are over worked and I'm concerned about the level of care your horses receive."
- We're always happy to hear people express their concerns about the treatment of horses because we share your concern. These horses are a part of the family & we take great pride in providing our horses with the best care possible. In fact, many would consider our horses spoiled. We read and hear the same things you do about abusive treatment of horses and we involve ourselves with organizations designed to promote the well being of these magnificent animals.
- "I've always dreamed of having a horse drawn carriage for my wedding but I'm not sure how it will fit in with our plans. Our ceremony is quite far away from our reception facility. Can you give me some ideas as to how this could work?"
- Absolutely! Most wedding ceremonies are not held anywhere near the reception hall. We will work with you on how we can provide the service best suited to your specific needs. We are very flexible and want to help you make your dreams come true on this truly special day!
- "How many miles does your horse drawn carriage travel?"
- We recommend a distance of no more than 4 miles. Please keep in mind that we are traveling at a leisurely pace of about 1 mile per 20 minutes. Part of the beauty of a horse drawn conveyance is to slow down the pace of what can be a very hectic time for you. You'll also want to plan on leaving plenty of time for photographs. These are keepsakes you'll treasure for a lifetime!
- "What areas do you service?"
- We provide service to the Greater Houston & Gulf Coast area and most towns located within a 100 mile radius of Boling, TX. A travel fee may apply. If your not sure if we service your area, please give us a call and we'll be happy to discuss your options.
- “Are there limitations as to what roads the horses can use?”
- Generally, no, but as a company policy, we do not bring our horses on roads with a speed limit exceeding 45 MPH.
